Margaret “Maggie” WINGATE Margaret “Maggie” Wingate, 83, of Paris, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at Moberly Regional Medical Center. Funeral Mass was held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church with Father John Henderson officiating. Visitation was held Thursday evening at Agnew Funeral Home. Burial was in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Wingate was born on June 28, 1922 at Quincy, IL, the daughter of Joseph Bernard and Kathryn Lenore Ford Buckley. She was married to Robert Flaiz on June 18, 1947, and was later married to Dallas Wingate on December 18, 1964. He preceded her in death on January 25, 1991. Mrs. Wingate graduated from St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing in 1942 as Registered Nurse and was employed by a medical group in Quincy for a few years. She was a nurse at Monroe Manor nursing Home and was last employed by Dr. Bautista at Moberly. She was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. Mrs. Wingate is survived by three daughters, Janice Elder of St. Louis, Pamela Smith of Colorado, and Lori Arnold of Paris; one son, John Flaiz of St. Louis; seven grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by one stillborn son, one sister, two brothers, a step-daughter, Mary Lou Wingate Simons, and a step-son, Frankie Wingate.
