Robert Arthur STIPP Robert Arthur Stipp, 84, of Paris, formerly of Madison, passed away at Monroe Manor Nursing Home in Paris on Tuesday, March 14, 2006. Mr. Stipp was born on February 28, 1922, near Moberly in Randolph County, the fifth of eight children of Isaac Willard and Carrie Lovinia (DeGarmo) Stipp. He was married on February 28, 1975. He moved from Randolph County to Monroe County in 1940 and to the town of Madison in 1985. He farmed, ran a saw mill and raised polled shorthorn cattle. He lived his whole life in Randolph and Monroe counties. He was affectionately known as the “Can Man”. He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Heather Renee Purvis and her husband Terry Randolph of Hannibal; two nieces, Pat Jones of Madison and Melissa Stipp of Moberly; and two nephews, Jack Ransdall of Renick and Gordon Keith Stipp of Cincinnati, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and two sisters. Mr. Stipp was cremated and services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Christmas is Caring.
