Della Mae JOHNSON Della Mae Johnson, 90 of Holliday, died Tuesday, January 31, 2006, at Moberly Nursing and Rehab. She was born on May 12, 1915, in Paris, to Wayne L. and Bina Lee (Howell) Jones. She attended Holliday Christian Church, graduated from Madison High School, was a member of Holliday Suburbanites and Mt. Pleasant Homemaker Clubs, and was a 4-H leader for over 25 years. She was a homemaker and worked with the Green Thumb Program for senior centers and Holliday and Madison schools. She was “Granny” to everyone. Survivors include two daughters, Cathy Griggs of Holliday, and Nellie and Dan Malone of Rogersville, MO; five grandchildren, Colie Payne, Toni Griggs, Marlee Mocumbi, Anthony Johnson and Steven Malone; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, two sisters, a husband, and one son, Clarance Wayne Johnson. Services were held on Sunday, February 5, at 3:00 p.m. at Million-Taylor Funeral Home in Madison with the Reverend David Holmes officiating. Burial was at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Madison. Visitation was Sunday from 1:00-3:00p.m at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Madison Alumni Scholarship Fund.
