Francis Leon (Pete) HALEY Francis Leon (Pete) Haley, 83 of Madison, passed away on Monday morning, February 20, 2006, in St. Louis. Francis was born on October 29, 1922, in Monroe County to the late Millard C. and Ethel Frances (Bondurant) Haley. He was a life-long resident of Madison, graduated from Madison High School, and owned and operated Haley & sons Trucking and Farm Supply for 65 years. He was a member of the Mount Airy Baptist Church and past member of the Madison Businessman’s Association. On July 3, 1943, he married Frances (Tiny) Etheline Haley in Madison. She preceded him in death on May 3, 1981. Survivors include two sons, Rodney Leon and Paulette Haley of Eldon and Randall Alan and Paula Haley of Madison; two grandchildren, Justin Leon Haley of Jefferson City and Royce Alan Haley of Madison; two step-grandchildren, Diana and Nick Glydewell of Excello; two sister-in-laws, Elsie Perkins Schwerdtner of Decatur, IL and Betty and Bill Huntsman of Moberly; three nieces, Connie Anthony of St. Louis, Brenda Perkins of St. Louis, and Ellen Tucker of Glenwood, IA; two great-nieces, Cathy Haley of Moberly and Barbara Haley of the state of Washington. Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 23, at Million-Taylor Funeral Home in Madison with the Reverend Tom Downey officiating. Interment was at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Madison.
