Ezra Lee Buckner Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, and a Brother, a Husband, Sportsman, Hunter, Craftsman, Incomparably Talented Interior Designer, and quite a Sharp Dresser. Ezra Lee Buckner, Sr., 76 of Paris, passed away at his home in Paris on Saturday, February 11, 2006. Mr. Buckner was born on December 6, 1929, at Hunnewell, the son of John and Gretta (King) Buckner. He was a Veteran of World War II, having served in the Army. He was employed in Chicago for 41 years before retiring and returning to Paris in 1988. He is survived by six children, Ezra Buckner, Jr. of Chicago, IL, Lee Green and Greta Buckner, both of Minneapolis, MN, Oscar Gray of Chicago, IL, Delores Ahuvah Gray of Israel, and Nellie Prestwood of California; two sisters, Dorothy Tillman and Shirley Boyd, both of Paris; and one brother, David Buckner of Paris; seventeen grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Lorenzo Buckner; four sisters, Allene Taylor, Elnora Little, Catherine Kyles and Mary Sharp; and four brothers, Milton Williams, Robert Buckner, John Buckner and Calvin Buckner. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, February 17, 2006, at the Agnew Funeral Home, 128 West Caldwell, in Paris, with Reverend Sheila Thompson officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Any friends and old classmates are welcome to share in a celebration of his life.
