Michael Shawn BOLIN Michael Shawn Bolin, 35, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2006. He was born on December 15, 1970, in Audrain County. Michael and his fiancé, Paula, were killed when their Harley-Davidson motorcycle was struck by a car traveling at a high rate of speed on the wrong side of the road. Both were killed instantly. Paula was buried Wednesday March 15, 2006. Michael graduated Madison High School in 1989 and attended Moberly Area Vocational Technical school for two years. He majored in Arc, Mig, and Oxy fuel welding. Mike is survived by his mother, Joyce Bolin, his pa, Mike McCann of Madison; a sister and brother-in-law, Lynn and Keven Darst of Centralia; two step-daughters, Mallory and Somer Blackburn, of Paris; his grandmother, Ruby Lear; uncle, Richard Lake of Madison; aunt and uncle Brenda and Tom Umstattd of Lohman; and aunt and uncle, Roy and Mary Ann Gibler of Paris. Other aunts and uncles, cousins and many friends. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Les Bolin; stepson, Brandon White; grandparents Merl and Gladys Bolin; grandfather, Wilbur Lake; and step-grandfather, Ray Lear. Mike loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, bow hunting, motorcycling and searching for Indian artifacts. Mike preferred working out of doors as well, working in concrete, carpentry, and operating heavy equipment. He formed his own company in 2005. He and Paula went to Harrisburg, MS in June of 2005 to assist in the Hurricane Katrina relief. They were about to begin work in Covington County, MS.
