Site of the Old Meier House

The Meier House was built before the Civil War time. It was estimated there were around 50,000 bricks in the house. The house walls were solid brick, three bricks thick. It was owned by Mr. A& Mrs. H. F. Meier, then by a daughter, then a grandson, Russell Brooks. The old house was torn down in 1969. Now a mobile home lot.
