The Baxter Vaughn Home

Built by James McVey before 1865. Mr. McVey’s wife was Mary McBride, daughter of Ebenezer McBride, who owned the first sewing machine in this area. Her sister Bina made her wedding dress when the married William Woods. He was the founder of the William Woods College at Fulton, Missouri. Address 117 E. Locust.
