Comments: Dr. Gustavis Miller Bower, son of Dr. Gustavis Miller Bower, was
married on January 26, 1815 to Miss Martha (Patsy) Crockett, daughter of Colonel
Joseph and Elizabeth M. Crockett. Dr. Bower was born in Culpepper County,
Virginia on December 21, 1790. His wife Martha died April 14, 1830 in Kentucky.
After her death he and his family moved to Paris, Missouri. He married again. He
died November 17, 1864. He represented the third District of Missouri in
Congress, 1844-45.
